The Nissan 300ZX was a sports car that debuted in the US in 1984 and was available until 1996. Its first year, the model came in base, Turbo, and 2+2 trims, and each had a 160-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine. A turbo variant put out up to 200 horsepower.
Engine improvements were made throughout the 1990s. For instance, early on, output bumped up to 222 horsepower. Eventually, twin turbochargers were added that helped the car's engine shell out 300 horsepower. A new body style was offered in 1992 as well: a convertible roadster. In incorporated a folding manual top as well as an integrated roll bar.
Other features available throughout the model's career included Recaro cloth bucket seats, thickened anti-roll bars, unique coil springs, and 16-inch wheels in white, plus a High Capacity Actively Controlled Steering (HICAS) system and a multilink rear suspension.
